Q: Do we do Couples
We do couples massage. However, our rooms are not large enough to put two massage tables in one room. So,
we book massages for couples at the same time and do the massages in different rooms.
Q: How many employees does
Awaken Massage Therapy have?
A: Only one! Maria Willis is the owner and only employee of Awaken. All of the
other therapists are self-employed subcontractors. We
work closely together as a team to run the office at a high level of professionalism.
Q: How come when I call
I often get the answering machine?
A: We do not have a receptionist and return all calls ourselves. If we are booked during
our shift then the machine will take your message (PLEASE
leave one) and we will call you back as soon as possible.
Q: Can I choose which therapist I see and
We are always thrilled when a new client specifically requests one of us and we do our best to accommodate these requests.
Please be aware that each therapist has set shifts each week and is only available during those shifts. If the
specific therapist you wish to see is unavailable when you are, or, is already booked we will book you with the first available
therapist who is a good match for your needs.
FYI: We have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
If your schedule changes please
give us a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We ask that you please call your therapist
directly on their cell phone to give notice of cancellations. You may also leave a message at the office (in addition
to the message you leave with your therapist). Cancelling a massage with less than 24 hours notice, or, neglecting to
show up for your scheduled session may result in your being charged the full rate for the session that you missed. If
you were using a Gift Certificate or Groupon to pay for your massage, your Gift Certificate or Groupon may be forfeited in
its' entirety. Please do not send cancellations via email. Thanks!
FYI: A "NEW CLIENT"
is someone who has never received a massage at Awaken before. We are very strict with this policy as it would
not be fair to make exceptions for some clients, and not, for others. Thank you for understanding.
